Eagles of Death Metal's merchandise manager, Nick Alexander, has been slain in the terror attacks in Paris that claimed 118 concertgoers at the Le Bataclan show in Paris. Alexander was 36 years old and hailed from London. Soon after the death was confirmed, his family began reaching out to the public and media.

In a statement to Rolling Stone a family member confirmed that he'd lost his life, writing, "It is with huge sorrow that we confirm that our beloved Nick lost his life at the Bataclan last night. Nick was not just our brother, son and uncle; he was everyone's best friend - generous, funny and fiercely loyal. Nick died doing the job he loved and we take great comfort in knowing how much he was cherished by his friends around the world. Thank you for your thoughts and respect for our family at this difficult time. Peace and light."

Alexander also reportedly left behind a girlfriend named Polina Buckley, who posted an shot of the two together on her Twitter account and wrote, "Sleep tight, my sweet prince, Nick Alexander...," and leaving a sentiment that she will always love him.

In an interview with The Telegraph Alexander's ex-girlfriend Helen Wilson claims that the merchandise manager was shot right in front of her. She told the publication that the atmosphere during the attack was "mayhem" and that he was shot right before her eyes. Wilson also endured wounds to both of her legs during the attacks and was taken to the Saint-Antoine Hospital in Paris once the terrorists were all dead. She described holding Alexander in her arms during his final breaths.

As reported by Billboard, Alexander was currently on tour with Eagles of Death Metal but had worked with the Black Keys, Panic! at the Disco, Sum 41 and MGMT in the past.
