Live Nation has officially stated that they plan on increasing concert security following the brutal attacks on Paris that occurred this past Friday night (Nov. 13) at an Eagles of Death Metal concert.

The shootings happened at Parisian venue Le Bataclan and a reported 118 concert-goers were slain in the savage shooting.

"The safety and security of our shows, fans and venues continues to be our highest priority," Live Nation said in a statement released through the New York Times, "Due to the recent events in Paris and in an abundance of caution we have implemented heightened security procedures globally. However, because of the sensitive nature of these protocols, we cannot elaborate further on the specific details."

Le Bataclan additionally released a statement through their official Facebook page that apologized for not being able to return lost items to those who attended the concert until the investigation into the attacks is complete.

The scene at the venue was pure chaos during the shooting and the terrorists included three gunmen who entered Le Bataclan and began firing into the crowd at random in a senseless act of violence. The gunmen also held a large number of hostages during the attack, but the band escaped from the stage unscathed.

But the music industry did not go unaffected and the Eagles of Death Metal merchandise manager Nick Alexander is counted as one of the fatalities. Additionally Coldplay, U2 and Foo Fighters cancelled shows and tour dates in Europe following the incident.
