Both teams are sitting at the bottom of the group, with Moscow having more of a disadvantage. An upset victory could cause more trouble for Wolfsburg, who are hoping to advance past the group stages.
Manager Leonid Slutski of Moscow opened up to the press this week, naming some players he wants to draw attention to before kickoff.
"I know Wolfsburg very well," the coach said. "One game - no matter how good or bad it is - cannot change my view of a team. Of course the victory [6-0 against Werder] confirmed them as one of the Bundesliga pacesetters, but it was not a surprise for me. [Seydou] Doumbia is working with the group and preparing to take part in the game. The situation with Vasili Berezutski is more difficult; he hasn't started training with the group yet."
We're expecting a big battle today, making for one of the more entertaining Champions League showdowns this week.
