Regardless of your social or economic status, age or race, any woman can become a target of domestic violence. Some of Hollywood's favorite female celebrities appear as battered and bruised victims in AleXsandro Palombo's new artwork series. Kim Kardashian, Miley Cyrus, Kendall Jenner, and more fight abuse in this shocking anti-domestic violence campaign.

Palombo's latest project, "No Woman is Immune From Domestic Violence," features images of Angelina Jolie (By The Sea), Madonna ("Like a Virgin"), Emma Watson (The Perks of Being a Wallflower), Gwyneth Paltrow (Iron Man 3), Kim Kardashian (KUWTK), Miley Cyrus ("Wrecking Ball"), Kendall Jenner (KUWTK), and Kristen Stewart (Twilight).

The contemporary pop artist is hoping to break the silence associated with the horrific aggressive behavior, by using familiar faces to open up the conversation. Palombo posted the images to his social media accounts.

"The biggest accomplice of violence is the silence, a silence which every year kills or causes permanent disability more than diseases or accidents," Palombo said. "Domestic violence is a social cancer that knows no boundaries nor social status, it can affect anyone, whether you're an ordinary person or a celebrity. "

Palombo's artwork is known for projecting a message. The Italian activist has tackled topics like racism, mutilation, terrorism, breast cancer, safe sex, anorexia, and more. His work is typically illustrated in cartoon form, to spark social awareness with different age groups.

In 2014, the activist portrayed popular Disney Princesses and other iconic cartoon women as the face of domestic violence. Accompanied by the slogan, "Life Can Be a Fairytale, If You Break the Silence," the campaign included Princess Jasmine, Family Guy's Lois Griffin, Superwoman, Cinderella, The Simpsons' Marge Simpson, and more.

Just in time for the International Day of Elimination of Violence (Nov. 25), Palombo mixed the images of animated women with the portraits of Hollywood celebrities to persuade victims of domestic violence to speak up. His images act as a reflection and the reality of today's society.
