New York City house duo The Knocks are prepping their new album 55 and to get fans ready, they have released the most unique collaboration from the LP, their ode to their home town of New York City with Cam'ron.

The tune is slow burn as they slowly build into the track with Cam'ron delivering describing the diverse and gritty nature of his city, "42nd and Broadway you see a player, 142nd and Broadway you see the yay" over an emotive piano melody and a choir cooing "we're in New York." It eventually crests into some hip-hop influenced hip-hop and some subtle electro-tinged bass, with the piano and chorus al blending together into a soulful arrangement.

"New York City" was premiered yesterday on Beats 1 radio with New York radio veteran Ebro Darden and it now available to purchase or stream on your favorite portal.

"New York hip-hop has been a quintessential point of inspiration for us throughout our career. Our early aspirations included working with the likes of Cam'ron, so for us, this collaboration is the definition of a dream come true," says The Knocks on working with Cam'ron in a statement. "We feel very blessed to be able to finally share this with the world, and we hope everyone gets as much enjoyment out of listening to it as we do."

The pair are heading out on a big tour in support of the album this winter, kicking off in of course New York City for an intimate show at Baby's All Right, but then heading to Chicago, Toronto, Portland, Vancouver, San Diego, Los Angeles and elsewhere.

Their forthcoming album 55 will feature artists like Fetty Wap, POWERS, Matthew Koma, X Ambassadors, Magic Man, Wyclef Jean, Carly Rae Jepsen, Alex Newell, Justin Tranter, Walk The Moon and Phoebe Ryan. 55 will be released in early 2016.
