2 Chainz has been known for giving back to the community and trying to make a difference. He recently made the news again for teaming up with his TRU Foundation to bring an early Christmas gift to a family in need. 2 Chainz visited the home of disabled veteran, Diedre Plater on Saturday to bring her brand new furniture and the offering to pay her rent for a year.

Plater recently had surgery and had been looking for a job for a year with no luck. "It's hard to keep gas in the car, food in the house, and do everything by myself being a single parent," Dierdre Plater tells CBS 46. "I am on a fixed income." The gift was more than welcomed and Plater and her family were extremely happy for 2 Chainz's generosity. "I love to see stuff like this happen for other people, but I never thought it would happen to me."

As many know, 2 Chainz has been selling his Dabbing Santa Sweaters pretty quickly and apparently some of the portions helped make this gift happen for Plater. It has been said that 2 Chainz is planning to help more families.

In July, 2015 2 Chainz's TRU Foundation hosted a back to school charity event in collaboration with AEBL and it was a big hit. The event was free to all children and they were given backpacks with supplies, free haircuts/hairstyles and there were plenty of games and contests to excite the children for school. In 2013, 2 Chainz hosted a charity basketball game for kids between the ages of 10 and 13. The charity gave the winners a trophy, prizes and Adidas uniforms. The basketball game was followed by the 4th Annual Street Execs Christmas Concert two days later. The concert featured the likes of Travis Porter, Young Dolph, Cap 1, Rich Homie Quan and many more. Admission was free with the donation of one wrapped gift. All gifts collected were distributed between Toys for Tots, the TRU Foundation, Kandi Cares and Street Execs.
