Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars' "Uptown Funk" was everywhere in 2015. Not only did the song top the year-end Hot 100 chart, but the Uptown Special single's visual was also the most-watched music video of the last 12 months. On Wednesday (Dec. 9), VEVO announced the clips that music fans couldn't just stop watching in 2015, and "Uptown Funk" leads the charge over other hyped videos from Taylor Swift, Adele, Maroon 5 and more.

"Uptown Funk" was one of two videos to exceed 1 billion plays on VEVO, as Billboard reports, and arrives at the top of VEVO's list. With 1.14 million views, the clip clearly got played over and over again as people rocked out to the throwback funky beats and jammed alongside Bruno Mars' ridiculous video antics.

The it-girl of 2015 Taylor Swift also exceeded 1 billion views with her video for "Blank Space," which came in at No. 2 and 1.06 billion views. Swift was the lone artist to have more than one entry on the most-watched videos list; a total of three of her 1989 singles made the cut. The album's lead single "Shake It Off" landed at No. 5 with 762,904,682 views and her friend-filled clip for "Bad Blood" was also much-watched with a No. 7 slot and over 656 million views.

Beyond the 2015 juggernauts that were "Uptown Funk" and Taylor Swift, viral videos led the charge on VEVO's list. Maroon 5's wedding crasher clip for "Sugar" was the third-most watched video with over 908 million views, and Ellie Goulding's massive Fifty Shades of Grey single "Love Me Like You Do" also fared well with 842 million clicks.
