Coldplay and Justin Bieber were just announced as new performers at the 2016 Brit Awards, which will be held in London's O2 Arena. The awards ceremony is due to take place on Feb. 24 and it will be Coldplay's first time performing at the Brits since 2013.

The band will additionally perform as headliners at the Super Bowl halftime show on Feb. 7.

In a statement released to Billboard the awards chairman Max Lousada said, "The Brits are excited to welcome two of the biggest acts in the world right now to next year's awards - Coldplay, who are undoubtedly one of our greatest music success stories, and pop sensation Justin Bieber, who will be coming to London for his first-ever Brits performance. Next year's awards is shaping up to be a fantastic night of British and international music."

Another notable artist that is set to perform at the ceremony is Adele, who has been smashing records in 2015 with her new album 25. She was the first performer announced for next year's ceremony. The singer performed her hit song "Someone Like You" at the Brit Awards in 2011 and has won three Brit awards over the course of her career.

"You couldn't get a bigger name in music right now. Adele is having an exceptional moment and The Brits are delighted to be a part of her history, her present and future," Lousada additionally said in a statement to the Guardian.

The Brit Awards ceremony will be broadcasted on ITV and all nominations are slated to be announced on Jan. 14.
