It's not like it's a big surprise or anything but Adele's 25 has been one of the best albums of 2015 and it will probably continue to be throughout most of 2016. The album has already scored it's fifth week as No.1 on the Billboard 200 and it has just hit another historical milestone. 25 has just become the first album to sell over a million copies three separate weeks!

According to Billboard, 25 sold 1.15 million in album sales the week of December 24th (All those Christmas gifts) and has now made it past 7 million in U.S. sales. During its first week, the album sold 3.38 million in album sales and it sold 1.1 million in it's second week out. That is just purely amazing!

If you are all aren't aware already, Adele opted out of having 25 stream on Spotify and iTunes. Though fans were really upset by the singer's decision, she stuck to her guns. Adele recently revealed to TIME Magazine why she made the decision. She said:

"I believe music should be an event. For me, all albums that come out, I'm excited about leading up to release day. I don't use streaming. I buy my music. I download it, and I buy a physical [copy] just to make up for the fact that someone else somewhere isn't. It's a bit disposable, streaming."

Adele also spoke on her appreciation for Taylor Swift's bold move to ask Apple to reconsider how artists are paid for their music streaming.

Though Adele's music isn't streaming on any of the platforms, it is obvious that it's not needed. 25 did such a great job on its own and Adele proved, once again, that music speaks for itself. Congrats on the big win Adele!
