HBO cyberattack is seven times worse than 2014 Sony hack

HBO's Game of Thrones is once again the most pirated show of the year. Thanks to breaking download records for single episodes throughout 2105, the fantasy series has topped the most-torrented list for the fourth year in a row. What other series made the list this year? Check out the top 10 most pirated TV shows of 2015 below.

Based on downloads of single episodes for a show, Game of Thrones soars past the competition once again with 14.4 million torrents, according to Torrent Freak's new list. Clearly one of the most popular shows on premium cable, Game of Thrones beat out the two biggest series on cable: The Walking Dead and The Big Bang Theory. In fact, the AMC post-apocalyptic drama, while over 2 million torrents ahead of the CBS sitcom, only garnered 6.9 million downloads.

"More than half of the downloads occurred in the first week after the show aired and the total exceeds the number of traditional viewers in the US," the report states. "The Walking Dead and Big Bang Theory complete the top three with an estimated 6.9 and 4.4 million downloads respectively."

As we can see, TV show piracy is definitely not on a decline.
