RZA has released a new remix of Adrian Younge's "Hands of God" on Soundcloud. The original version of the song has yet to be released, but it will be featured on the soul producer's impeding Something About April II, slated to be out in January. RZA, real name Robert Diggs, was reportedly inspired by the score of the latest Quentin Tarantino movie. Diggs took elements of The Hateful Eight soundtrack, scored by Ennio Morricone, and made it his own.

Younge's original features Laetitia Sadler, who performs in Stereolab, and singer Karolina from Israel. SPIN reported The Hateful Eight inspiration for Diggs. Diggs took what was originally soul and twisted it into a rap remix, where he references Tarantino's The Hateful Eight in his verses, saying, ("Hate will take you to the gates of hell / Where the Hateful Eight awaits you!") His verses turn the soul song into an angrier version of the original. RZA's take on the track is as intense as he's known for, and just a little bit creepy, with Karolina and Laetitia weaving soft vocals in between the rap verses. Their vocals come in slow, with just the right amount of mystery to balance out RZA's rhymes.

In other RZA news, the legendary rapper and producer was recently the center of a controversy when two stabbings occurred at his home in New Jersey. At the time, NJ.com reported that the New Jersey state police were called when the stabbings occurred at his Deer Trail residence in the early hours of the morning. Gregory Williams, who served as the sergeant on the case and a representative for the department, confirmed to the media that police arrived at the residence at 1:18 AM. Two men were found brutally injured when he arrived.

Following the stabbings, both men were taken to the Jersey Shore University Medical center for treatment for their injuries. It was further reported that Diggs was not a patient at the medical center when the other two men were brought in. The sergeant was hesitant to reveal more details, but property records show that the residence was in fact, owned by Diggs.
