Just days after Christmas, Boosie Badazz shared his plans to release a new album, In My Feelings (Goin’ Thru It), on New Years Day and he’s made good on his word.

The ten track offering, which follows Boosie’s successful kidney surgery to remove a cancerous tumor, finds the Baton Rouge rapper reflecting on the past few months as he’s had to battle for his life.

Boosie recently explained the reasoning behind his latest project. "This end of the year has been crazy as u know," he wrote on Instagram. "I been going thru it but God always shake me back (Facts.) Last Christmas was the greatest. I was healthy n with family this year I'm rehabbing from cancer surgery, me n a few people that's it, no Christmas tree, my kids not even here, but I'm still here n ain't going nowhere str8 up...N u see the cover yep I'm dropping a album on New Years on what I been going thru.”

He first revealed his diagnosis back in November via social media. Boosie’s original Instagram post remains on his account but without the striking caption, which read, ""I need all my fans to pray for me doctors told me I have cancer on my kidneys prayer is power that's why I'm letting the world know."

The "Wipe Me Down" rapper has reportedly been living with diabetes for some time. Last March, Boosie was hospitalized for dehydration after a string of shows.

In May 2015, Boosie released Touchdown 2 Cause Hell, his first album since his release from prison in March 2014. The rapper served a 52-month sentence for a drug conviction and probation violation. The album also serves as a follow-up to 2010's Incarcerated. That same year, he was indicted on first-degree murder and drug charges. He was found guilty of the latter and eventually sentenced to eight years in prison.

He addresses beating the death penalty and facing cancer on a track named after the disease. Available now on iTunes, fans can stream the project for free thanks to Boosie’s Youtube channel below.
