Louis Vuitton continues to break boundaries. Just days after naming Lightning, a digital character from the popular Final Fantasy video game series, as the face of its new line of bags and accessories - the esteemed French fashion house has dropped under huge announcement by revealing 17-year-old actor and rapper Jaden Smith as the official face of its womenswear collection for Spring/Summer 2016 season.

The news came courtesy from none other than Louis Vuitton creative director Nicolas Ghesquiere, who showed off the first images of Smith as a Vuitton model on his Instagram account.

In the photo, Smith is seen wearing a leather jacket and fingerless gloves, a black and white fringed top and a long black skirt with beaded detailing.

Another image posted by Ghesquiere features Smith, still wearing the same ensemble, posing alongside top fashion models Sarah Brannon, Rianne Van Rompaey, and Jean Campbell.

Smith is no stranger to gender-bender dressing. He first caught attention of the fashion world back in April, when he was photographed wearing a dress while attending the Coachella Music Festival. Since then, he's also opted to wear a dress to his high school prom.

In an interview with GQ, Smith talked about wearing dresses and skirts. I'm just expressing how I feel inside, which is really no particular way because everyday it changes how I feel about the world and myself, but I like wearing super drapey things so I can feel as though I'm a super hero, but don't have to necessarily wear super hero costumes everyday."
