2016 is gearing up to be another great year for music and Flume is gearing up to join the ranks of artists ready to make this year one of their best to date. The Australian producer, DJ has been dropping hints about a new album and today, Jan. 4 shared a preview for the LP, now titled Skin. According to the post it is almost finished. The preview is also available as a free download.

Coming in at a little over four minutes and thirty seconds, the preview transitions from a wide variety of different sounding tracks. Thankfully it doesn't sound like one long future bass synth line, but rather some differing influences with more industrial bass lines and booming bass sounds.

Some of these sound like they could be collaborations with other producers, but Flume has been mum on any collaborations or a tracklist for the LP.

Skin will be the first LP for Flume since his breakout self-titled debut in 2012. The momentum built from 2012 into 2013 and 2014 where his profile exploded in the United States and he became a sound's global leader, much like Disclosure or Kygo.

He released a single "Some Minds" with Andrew Wyatt in 2015 and teased several more as a part of his BBC Radio One Essential Mix a few weeks later.

Stream the clip below and a pick up a copy of the preview so you can listen again and again here. Stay tuned for any more details on Skin including a release date or a tracklist, but expect this to arrive sometime this year.
