The most anticipated movies of 2016 list compiled from a survey of moviegoers by Fandango might not surprise you, but with a long list of big blockbusters hitting theaters this year, which film do you think tops the list? Considering last year's top flick was Star Wars: The Force Awakens, it's definitely fitting that the franchise's spin-off project, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story tops this year's list. Aside from the top movies, the survey also asked moviegoers and film fans to name their most anticipated actors, actresses, and up-and-coming stars showing up in movies this year. Plus, considering the genre has taken over the box office in recent years, we also have a list of most anticipated comic book characters debuting on the big screen in 2016.
Fandango certainly covered the topics we're thinking of when it comes to films in the new year.

As you can see, there aren't many surprises (something we mentioned in our own "Most Anticipated Movies" list). While the majority of the films are action/adventure types, it's nice to see the Pixar sequel to Finding Nemo up so high on the list.
