In a lengthy post on Instagram today, The Game blasted the U.S. justice system and media for portraying Bill Cosby as guilty with "no evidence" while police officers escape responsibility for the deaths of unarmed African-Americans during encounters with law enforcement.
The Game expressed frustration with the lack of indictments and acquittal of charges in several fatal incidents captured on video and made available to the public.
"I think it's crazy that Bill Cosby has a mugshot for alleged assaults 11 years ago with no physical evidence or proof besides these thirsty womens accounts of what he did to them an entire decade later...." he writes. "But Darren Wilson, who killed Mike Brown on camera, is FREE. George Zimmerman, who killed Trayvon Martin, is FREE. Timothy Loehman, who killed Tamir Rice seconds after arriving on the scene.. on camera, is FREE. Officers who arrested Sandra Bland & detained her until her mysterious death, are FREE. All of the officers who shot 50 rounds into Sean Bell's car, on his wedding day, killing him, are FREE ! I could go on all day, but you get the point... & again, y'all put Dr. Huxtable in jail off of word of mouth & whether or not he actually did anything or not, which we won't know because of the lack of evidence or proof.... Why did it take these women over 10 years to bring this to the light ?"
The Game is not the only rapper to defend Cosby since almost 60 women have come forward with allegations of sexual assault dating back decades. Some have said they feel the women's accounts don't adequately prove Cosby's guilt.
However, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, prosecutors felt confident they had sufficient evidence to charge Cosby in a 2004 sexual assault case involving a former Temple University employee. The comedian was charged with three felony counts of sexual assault on Dec. 30, a day before the statute of limitations expired. Cosby is free on $1 million bond.
The Game went on to bemoan taxpayers' role in funding the police, asking people to "pay attention and govern yourself accordingly."
