Deadmau5 has revealed the title and release date for his upcoming album. Titled while(1<2), pronounced as "while one is less than two," the effort is due out June 17 digitally and June 24 in physical and streaming formats.

Last month, the Canadian EDM DJ took to Twitter to introduce the upcoming release as "the first album I've ever done that i would even call an album... it's put together like an album, not a compilation."

Deadmau5 has shared a 30-second snippet of the opening track "Avaritia" as a preview to what fans can expect. The full-length version of the song is set to debut on Pete Tong's UK BBC Radio 1 on Friday, May 16. However, those who pre-order the album on Deadmau5's Live website or on his mobile app can check out the track early, Radio.com reports.

"It's a good mix of sh-t I want to do versus sh-t people want to hear or what they would expect," he said in a press release. "It's a good balance. It's not like, 'Oh, it's such a departure. He's doing smooth jazz.' It was when I was working on some live stuff, set lists for shows and stuff like that, and it just must have been a couple of tracks that sounded pretty good stitched together end to start and I thought, 'Well, if I ever do an album or compile this into some kind of album this has got to be that part of the order for that.' And I just kind of took everything and played musical Tetris with it."

As Radio.com notes, some of album's tracks have been available on the Deadmau5 Soundcloud page over the past three years.

while(1<2) is the first full-length release since 2012's Album Title Goes Here, which featured collaborations with B-Real of Cypress Hill, Gerard May of My Chemical Romance and Imogen Heap, among others.
