The 2015 Netflix documentary series based on the harrowing story of Steven Avery and the Manitowoc police, Making a Murderer, became an instant hit once the episodes premiered for streaming. Avery and his nephew, Brendan Dassey, are currently incarcerated for the murder of Teresa Halbach, but there are plenty out there that believe that this docu-series pointed out glaring mistakes in the trial and that they shouldn't be in jail. Not surprising, some family members of the subjects believe this, too. One of which, Brendan's brother Brad Dassey, has used this to fuel his music career. He released the religious rap song entitled "They Didn't Do It," this week. Listen to the song below.

Making a Murderer made Brendan Dassey a household name, even if he had some recognition from his trial a few years ago. We're sure you're most likely having conversations with your friends these days about theories, the subjects, their lawyers and more. Brad took to the recording studio to voice his opinions-with rhymes!

Maybe if you were on the fence regarding Avery and Dassey's innocence, this song will help you decide. That's Brad Dassey's hope, at least. He is clearly standing behind his brother and his uncle, so we can at least listen to this very personal song he composed. It apparently took him 10 hours to make, according to his SoundCloud page.

This isn't the first song inspired by the popular Netflix docu-series, though. We previously reported on the song "Lake Superior" by The Arcs, Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys' side project. Check out our previous coverage right here!
