Doppler Labs, an innovative technology company, has teamed up with Coachella, run by Goldenvoice, to bring attendees of the festival a new type of earbud that allows fans to control, customize and personalize the sounds coming from each stage with the touch of a button!

Dopplar Labs, the company responsible for distributing DUBS Earplugs to every Coachella attendee at the 2015 festival, has now revolutionized ones listening experience by creating a new set of earbuds called Here Active Listening Earbuds, which every fan who purchased a Coachella ticket to this year's festival now has early access to purchase. The earbuds, which can be seen via a tweet on Doppler Lab's Twitter page, allow users to sync their earbuds with each stage of the festival and control all sorts of volume, EQ, and effect levels from each performance.

The company's website describes the earbuds by saying, "Here Active Listening is two wireless buds and a smartphone app that give you instant control over real-world sound. Boost the bass in Sahara or remix a set in Mojave using Here's volume knob, EQ, and effects for your ears. With the tap of a button, Here lets you tune into the music at Coachella like never before."

In an article from Dancing Astronaut, Paul Tollett of Goldenvoice said, "Our partnership with Doppler Labs has been a passion project for us since the beginning. It's been fascinating to watch Here go from a concept to a reality. Here puts the power of music back into the ears of Coachella attendees."

This is certainly a step up from the DUBS earplugs fans received last year, however, those were free and came with an attendees's ticket. The new earbuds from Doppler are not free and will cost attendees $199 per pair, as they come in white and black colors. Another catch to the earbuds is that you must have a code to purchase them, which Coachella sent out to everyone who is set to attend this year's festival, today, via email. If you don't have a Coachella ticket or a code, fans will have to join the waitlist, which can be done through their official site here.

Expensive or not, these earbuds are certinaly going to be a hot commodity at this year's festival, as the ability to control the sounds of each stage to ones liking will certainly be appealing to a lot of people. However, it's understandable that Coachella tickets are already expensive enough and adding $199 earplugs to the mix might not fit everyone's budget.

Regardless, it will be interesting to see how these earplugs are received after weekend one of Coachella this Spring and if they'll continue to implement things like this into other festivals as well.
