Robin Thicke has made it no secret that he wants to get his wife Paula Patton back in his good graces, and Sunday night (May 18), he sung it to the world. At the 2014 Billboard Music Awards, the two-time winner and "Blurred Lines" singer debuted a brand new song, fittingly titled "Get Her Back."

The subdued R&B jam, which plays more like his old jams like "Lost Without U" than his salacious Blurred Lines single, features stripped down beats and begging lyrics for Patton to accept him in her life once again.

"I gotta get it through, get it through, get it through, get her back / I gotta treat her right, I gotta cherish her for life," Thicke sings in the subdued chorus.

The verses read like a list of regrets, with Thicke lamenting that he asked his estranged wife to "do anything at all" while he was free to live his life, reflecting rumors that Thicke was perhaps a little less-than-loyal to Patton during the last stretch of 2013.

The couple, who began dating as teenagers, married in 2005 and have one child, a four-year-old son Julian Fuego Thicke. They separated in February.
