Gary Richards, the head of Hard Events, also known by his DJing and producing alias Destructo, has unveiled his new single alongside Ty Dolla $ign and ILoveMakonnen titled "4 Real."

The single is the first cut from Richards in over a year and sees him reunite with Ty Dolla $ign after putting out "Nobody Else" on Destructo's West Coast EP.

"4Real" goes through various different phases, starting out with slower, melodic hip-hop sections that glide under the smooth vocals of Dolla $ign and ILoveMakonnen. Then it quickly shifts gear into the thumping g-house that has been a calling card in his discography and a growing subgenre within the west coast electronic music scene.

The track was premiered yesterday by Zane Lowe on Beats 1 as the world record. After playing the track, Zane Lowe had a chat with Richards about the track and upcoming music that Destructo has in the works.

Richards admits that it is tough to get work done in the studio in between planning Hard Events and his increased touring responsibilities, but he finally has a lot of music almost ready to go.

"The thing is I got a lot of tunes, I just need more collabs on the vocals," Destructo told Lowe in an interview. "I got something I'm doing with Pusha T, I got one with Problem, just trying to finish up my EP... There's nothing better with being in the studio with like, Too $hort, and making a song. It's insane. They've been doing electronic and hip hop forever. I'm just doing my little take on it."

His West Coast EP featured the likes of Warren G, Ty Dolla $ign, YG, Too $hort and Kurupt.

No official release date has been set yet, but get ready for this dance, hip-hop crossover at some point soon.
