Since jumping genres to country from rock, Aerosmith's Steven Tyler has been adding dates to his solo concert agenda. But if you can't wait for him to come to your town, you can check out his fresh country tunes and Aerosmith hits on the PBS series Front and Center.

As KBWE notes, the former American Idol judge's episode of the Front and Center will air Feb. 29 and showcase highlights of his acoustic concert last fall at the Melrose Ballroom in Queens, New York. Viewers should check their local listings for dates and times.

At the Melrose gig Tyler was joined onstage by Extreme's Nuno Bettencourt and by Nashville group Loving Mary, which includes Aerosmith songwriting colleague Marti Frederiksen.

Loving Mary will join the "Jaded" singer when he hits the road in March for two shows at the Avalon Ballroom in Niagara Falls.

Tyler's solo dates follow the debut of his country album and the radio release of "Love Is Your Name" and the follow-up, "Red White & You." The album is set for early this year but no release date has been confirmed.

Tyler said he thinks Aerosmith bandmates may feel a bit forgotten in the midst of his country career. "I'm sure they're not happy," Tyler told Rolling Stone. "But Joe [Perry] has done five solo albums. I just thought, 'Hey, it's my turn in the barrel.' This is a side project, which has now turned into a love of life. I think we got something here that the radio would love to play. Look, that's why I'm in it. I love to take the f-ing power to wow to the 100th degree. It's just what I do."
