It's about to be 20 years since Cam'ron first came started rapping. The rapper, known for being a part of Dipset, previously announced that he would be retiring from Rap after releasing, Purple Haze 2, according to Billboard. With Purple Haze 2 dropping this year, Cam has started preparing fans for what is to come with the new visual for the track, "U Wasn't There."

"U Wasn't There" is an ode to all the people that helped Cam rise up in the streets of Harlem and become a worldwide selling artist. The list includes family members: Grandma and Grandma Dot, Uncle Jerry and Cam's son's mother, Toy Dawkins. Cam also lists local Harlem friends as well as industry friends that helped him out. The visual, directed by Cam, flashes photos of Cam's past to present with his family, friends, people he hustled with and of course, Dipset. The video has sort of the same theme of Kanye's "Through the Wire."

The JB Music Group produced song, is the first single off of the upcoming album, Purple Haze 2. A date hasn't been set for the new record, but it is aiming for a release sometime in the Fall of 2016. Cam explained to Fader who each person in the song was and what they meant to him, "Everybody knows the usual suspects when it comes to me, the people I rap with or the people I always shout out," he explained. "This is giving me a chance to shout out some of the people I never have. I feel good doing something like this. It's kind of the story behind the story."

The last project from Cam, was his joint mixtape with Berner, Contraband, which dropped in November. He also has been keeping busy with cameos in TV shows and films.

Though Purple Haze 2 is set to be his last album, we are excited to hear Cam's final project.
