Netflix is back for another round of monthly cleaning. As we enter the last full week of January, the popular streaming service released a full list of movies, TV shows, and original series expiring in February 2016. From classic award-winning films to popular animated franchises, this list highlights all the programs viewers should watch for a final time before they're forced to say goodbye to them next month.
Fans can say farewell to this 2003 adventure drama classic. Director Tim Burton mends the relationship between an ill father and his estranged son through a variety of detailed flashbacks. Big Fish tells the story of William Bloom (Billy Crudup) who travels to be with his dying father Edward (played by both Albert Finney and Ewan McGregor).
The two don't have the best relationship due to his father's history of telling exaggerated stories about his life, that William never believing the stories to be true. William, who works as a professional journalist, is on a mission to uncover the truth, ultimately forming a greater understanding of his father. The film was nominated for an Oscar and four Golden Globes.
Another film making an exit next month is the 2004 Oscar-winning film Ray. Actor and singer Jamie Foxx stars in the drama biopic as the legendary rhythm and blues musician, Ray Charles. The movie tells the story of how a young boy from Floria who completely lost his vision due to glaucoma at a young age and ultimately turned into a music icon. Despite battling drug addiction, infidelity, and being a blind artist in the industry, Charles went on to redefine soul music and inspire generations to come.
Out with the old and in with the new. Although there are several programs making an exit in February, there are also many making their debut on Netflix.
