Skrillex has done almost everything a DJ has done in his career, playing festivals all around the world, collaborating with artists in hip-hop, dance, reggae, rock, pop and metal and putting out No. 1 records. However he hasn't done the one thing that most consider to be a fundamental part of what many DJs do - host a radio show. That is about to change as he is gearing up to host the OWSLA Radio show on Beats 1 with his co-hosts and label signees Mija, Getter and Ghastly.

The show will kick off this weekend on Jan. 30 at 12 p.m. PST. A replay will air the next day on Sunday, Jan. 31 at 12 a.m. PST.

The show will feature Skrillex DJing and discussing his favorite music. According to a press release, listeners can expect tons of premieres and guests.

All this time Skrillex has avoided starting a radio show, which most guys in electronic music of his caliber do as a part of their brand and a way to promote their own music and respective labels. With the release of OWSLA's new compilation, aptly titled Worldwide Broadcast, tomorrow, there will be plenty of new music to play on the radio show.

Skrillex will join a strong family of artist residencies on Beats 1 which include the likes of HAIM, Eric Prydz, Major Lazer, Skepta, Drake, Pharrell, Dr. Dre and others.

Listen to Skrillex describing what is going to happen in the show in the short clip below, which he says Beats 1 has given them a lot of freedom to do what they want. Tune in on Saturday to hear the first episode.
