It has been a long time coming, but Wolfgang Gartner has at last released his new artist album 10 Ways To Steal Home Plate. The album features a wide variety of collaborators including E-40, A-Trak, Dam Funk and JHart.

The album is quite different from what fans have heard from the American producer and DJ. Fans got a hit with a shock of what was to come with the single "Turn Up" that features grime rappers Wiley & Trina.

The album is still flush with the complex, electro sound that he has become known for, but he expands on it, bringing in influences of disco and hip-hop. The album really shines on tracks like the funky "Faded."

In interviews over the past 18 months, Gartner has expressed his displeasure with electro house, stating that he felt it was getting stale and it wasn't inspiring him anymore. That is apparent here with how scattered the album feels jumping between genres at times without a clear progression from one track to the next.

Coming in at 10 tracks and only 33 minutes, the album is a quick listen and easy to digest.

This is Wolfgang Gartner's first album since 2011's Weekend In America and second overall.
