Mickey Shiloh is on the rise as a songwriter in the music industry at just 24. She has already worked with Britney Spears, Wiz Khalifa, Jennifer Lopez and LL Cool J, as well as co-writing “Night” for Janet Jackson’s album, Unbreakable. Shiloh was also one of the lucky few who attended songwriting sessions for Rihanna’s just released ANTI album. But Shiloh soared to new heights when her track, “Drunk On The Mic,” received an endorsement from Kylie Jenner via Snapchat.

When asked how she felt about Jenner sharing “Drunk On The Mic” via Snapchat Shiloh said to Billboard, “That really spearheaded the whole thing. Roc Nation hit me up maybe a month ago to write for Justine Skye. She tweeted the song and a lyric from it. I’m assuming she was researching me ‘cause they wanted me to work with her. My friend then sent me a screenshot of Kylie responding to the tweet with a thinking emoji so it was really Justine Skye that started this whole thing.”

The interview then turned to the process behind the song, to which Shiloh said, “I was just home one night, going through tracks from my friend Shamtrax. I heard the first two notes of the piano and freaked out. I don’t even like to listen to the beat too much. I like to freestyle the first time I hear a beat. I threw my headphones on, did one take through the whole song and basically wrote the whole thing. The first verse is one freestyle. I never re-recorded that. That was exactly what came out."

In other news from her famous endorser, Keeping Up With The Kardashians’ Jenner may have a wedding on the horizon!. On the second episode of Kocktails with Khloe that aired this past Wednesday (Jan. 27), Jenner’s boyfriend, Tyga, revealed his intentions to marry Khloe’s younger sister. During the appearance of the show, Khloe started a game of F*ck, Marry, Kill, where it was revealed that Tyga was interested in marriage with Kylie after he jokingly said that he’d marry Khloe.
