The Dave Matthews Band recently kicked off their annual summer tour just a couple of weeks ago and it seems they're already creating buzz... but not because of the performance, unfortunately.

Making a stop this past weekend at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC), the group played in front of a sold out crowd, but sadly, some concertgoers were denied access after discovering the tickets they purchased were forged.

Reports suggest that Bryan David, 16-years-old, of the Bronx, NY, is to blame. He has been charged with Scheme to Defraud, Possessing a Forged Instrument and Petit Larceny.

One fan told reporters her husband purchased the tickets off Craigslist. They met the seller (David) at the Colonie Center Mall on the Friday before the show and purchased two tickets for $300. The two then parted ways.

However, after noticing the purchased tickets did not "have the right look or feel to them," the victim contacted the authorities and gave her description of the vendor.

While the above couple was successful in catching the scheme before they left for the concert, the majority of ones duped by the forgery arrived at the venue for Saturday's show and were turned away.

And no, it wasn't a high-end counterfeit operation that took place. According to the local news, "Lt. Bob Winn with the Colonie Police Department said the tickets were likely scanned from one legitimate ticket which was then copied over and over."

To top it off, it's been reported that David made bail and returned safely to the Bronx.
