In case you were wondering - Lupe Fiasco is very good at playing video games. At the launch party for Street Fighter V, the rapper took on world Capcom arcade video game champion Daigo Umehara in the new release, which was set up as a promotional event, but turned into one of the biggest moments in gaming history. While many, including Fiasco himself, figured Daigo-san would destroy the "Show Goes On" rapper, that is not what happened. Lupe Fiasco beat Daigo at his own game - almost literally. Some think the battle was staged, which isn't the greatest of news, but it is certainly fun to watch regardless.

Last month, a fan asked Fiasco if he watched professional gaming, which led to the rapper showing a ton of respect for Daigo. With the mention of the gamer's name, a representative from the video game company Mad Catz Interactive reached out to Lupe Fiasco, proposing a friendly game between him and Daigo. Fiasco accepted, which led to this week's events.

This was definitely a surprising outcome, but many believe that it was all a publicity stunt and that Daigo let Fiasco win. Check out some theories on this, via Twitter of course, right here (via Kotaku):

Rappers and video games seem to mesh well. Kanye West recently shared the teaser trailer for his own foray into the gaming world, Only One: The Game, and J. Cole schooled Conan O'Brien in an early "Clueless Gamer" segment.
