Rihanna was scheduled to perform at the 2016 Grammys on Monday night (Feb. 15), but at the last minute, she cancelled, citing a debilitating case of bronchitis. But, was the "Work" singer really sick, or did she throw a fit before the show was set to begin?

Despite official word that Rihanna was advised by a doctor not to perform at the Grammys, TMZ reports that multiple sources (those attached and not connected to the singer) instead say that Rihanna stormed away from the award ceremony after throwing a massive fit over production.

Rihanna reportedly had an outburst about being displeased about her rehearsal, and was "screaming and hysterical" about the production. After her rant, she stormed away from the show. However, Rihanna's people are staying on topic, saying Rihanna's outburst was caused by news that she should not perform at the Grammys to spare her voice.

However, the bronchitis reports get even more muddled when one considers that Rihanna performed on Feb. 13 at the MusiCares Person of the Year gala and ran through two Grammy rehearsals.

Either way, Rihanna was "too upset" to stay at the Grammys after canning her performance.

Rihanna's cancelled Grammys performance was supposed to consist of the ANTI track "Kiss It Better." According to The Late Late Show host James Corden, he was asked to join Rihanna on stage at the Grammys and take part in her "Kiss It Better" performance by pretending to be an '80s talk show host with "funny sunglasses" and a cigarette. He said she was feeling "a bit under the weather" during rehearsals, seemingly confirming the doctor story.
