Lady Gaga is a known fashion fanatic, from her daring red carpet looks to her everyday style. She even named a title on her latest album Artpop simply... "Fashion!" But, would her love of haute couture ever translate to her own clothing line, a la Kanye West?

In a new interview with The New York Post, the "Til It Happens to You" singer had a simple answer: never. And it's because she respects the craft too much.

"The thing is, at the end of the day, I have a real respect for fashion designers," Gaga said. "And it's the reason I don't have my own line and the reason I never will. If I ever do anything in fashion, it will always just be as a muse or as an aesthetic, creative. I like to be a part of helping artists find themselves and feel good about who they are."

Gaga, who spoke to the Post from Brandon Maxwell's show at New York Fashion Week, also showed a sense of humility for fashion that other celebrity fashionistas don't. "I would never for a second claim to be proficient in fashion design [just] because I know good looks," she said.

Though Gaga is never going to enter the world of fashion, that doesn't mean she's afraid to experiment in other artistic media. In addition to stepping out of her dance pop comfort zone for the jazz album Cheek to Cheek with Tony Bennett, she's started acting. Most recently, Gaga starred in American Horror Story: Hotel as The Countess. She won a Golden Globe for her role.
