Demi Lovato is just one of the many celebrities who has expressed their support for Kesha after she was denied by a New York City court to leave Sony and cut ties with Dr. Luke, who allegedly sexually abused her. Now, over the weekend the "Stone Cold" singer flooded Twitter with messages of support for Kesha, calling on feminists to take up her cause.

As a way of showing support to Kesha, Lovato posted a series of tweets expressing her honest view on empowering women and encouraging everyone to start taking action about it.

"Frustrating to see women come forward with their past only to be shot down, not believed & disrespected for their bravery in taking action," "Confident" singer shared to her 34 million followers. "Happens way too often. I'm ready for women to be taken just as seriously as men."

Although the star didn't directly mention Kesha on her tweets, it is apparent that her message was about the current battle of the "Tik Tok" singer. Lovato also shared her thoughts about femaile empowerment, making a call to arms for her fellow pop stars.

"Women empowerment is using your voice to help the voiceless women be heard. Women empowerment is taking action now, not when it's convenient," she added. "Women empowerment is leading other women to make actual changes in our society. Women empowerment is tweeting at 2:30 am knowing the consequences of these tweets and not giving a single f*ck."

After the initial verdict of Kesha's case, as released by a Manhattan Supreme Court judge saying that she can't cut her six-album contract deal with Sony, the singer posted, "#FreeKesha. This is only gonna make you stronger, you brave and beautiful girl. Prayers are with you."

Apart from Lovato, other stars like Lady Gaga and Lorde also expressed their support to the "Die Young" singer
