Rihanna did NOT slyly shade fellow pop sensation Beyonce on social media. Reports now confirm that the entire Twitter "war" was indeed a hoax.

Earlier this month, rumors suggested that RiRi "favorited" this fan tweet, basically blasting Bey's music:

@DruChaos: "The fact that 'Desperado' is HIGHER on the Bubbling Under chart than a single performed to a global audience."

Obviously, he's referring to a hit single featured on Rih's eighth studio record, ANTI. As for the song that was performed to a "global audience," he means Bey's new track "Formation" (which she performed at the epic Super Bowl halftime show). She released a music video right before the big game, which is only still available on Tidal.

However, anyone can listen to the deluxe version of ANTI on iTunes...

So when loyal members of #TeamBeyHive discovered that the 29-year-old Barbadian songstress actually acknowledged and "liked" this harsh statement, things exploded online:

(screenshot)

@_BluRay__: "LA Reid didn't even want to give you a chance @rihanna! Beyonce saw potential in that weak voice that you still have! You tried it!"

@beysusfacts: "The real tragedy is that Rihanna thinks of Beyonce as a threat, and Beyonce... Well, Beyonce doesn't think of Rihanna."

@goddessyonce: "Beyonce is selling out stadiums with a promotional single and Rihanna is downgrading stadiums after an album release and THAT is the tea."

Meanwhile, the "Work" superstar managed to ignore such cyber drama. Instead, she enthusiastically continues promoting her recent album release and new partnership with Puma.

And now, The Inquisitr confirms that Rih's seedy actions were actually photoshopped. After severe harassment, the original troublemaker later admitted (via Shade Room):

@DruChaos: "[The tweet] is photoshopped. Please, end the war."

Therefore, this ongoing "feud" between Rih and Bey is still nonexistent! Do Music Times readers think they should do an epic collaboration together to ease the tension?
