Although Kanye West revealed to have a $53 million debt, he actually has many sources of income including his Adidas shoe design collaboration and he has proved his edge on the fashion industry as he claimed to have sold $1 million worth of The Life Of Pablo merchandise.

Two days after opening his 3,600-square-foot Soho pop-up shop in New York, the 38-year-old musician tweeted that he had sold millions for the Life of Pablo inspired items, saying, “there is no other brand that could sell 1 million dollars of clothing in 2 days from 1 location!!!”

The shop was open from March 18-20 and featured a $400 distressed jean jackets, $350 bomber jacket, and beanie jackets that comes in red and blue with the words "I Feel Like Pablo" printed on it.

Some people in the industry weren't surprised that West was able to make $1 million earnings, especially after selling his entire collection of Yeezy Season 1 back in October 2015, but there are also some who were not impressed.

“The buzz surrounding the launch of the Kanye West x Adidas Originals Yeezy Season 1 was amazing, yet anticipated,” said Tom Kalenderian, executive vice president and general merchandise manager of men's and Chelsea Passage at Barneys New York, according to The Daily Beast. “This designer has had a profound influence on music, popular culture and fashion; with his finger on the pulse of his followers. The excitement extended well beyond his fan base; reaching fashion customers all wanting to experience his vision with this collection."

Meanwhile, retail analyst Sucharita Mulpuru at Forrester is not convinced of West's claim since the small store couldn't "even fit $500,000 worth of merchandise."

“He is known for hyperbole, and given that he is a private citizen and it’s a private business, we may never known the true numbers,” she said according to Billboard, adding that $1 million is an “awful lot” for merely two days of selling.
