Early Tuesday (March 29) morning, Kehlani resurfaced on Instagram to open up about the personal demons she's been fighting behind closed doors. The singer revealed she attempted suicide and accompanied the admission with photos from her hospital room. She also addressed the cheating rumors surrounding her estranged ex-boyfriend, singer PartyNextDoor, and her new love interest, NBA star Kyrie Irving.
The 20-year-old California native tried to take her own life. She posted three images to her Instagram, along with very telling captions. The first image showed Kehlani showed her lying in a hospital bed, with tubes connected to her arms. She was not alone during this traumatic experience. PartyNextDoor, whose real name is Jahron Anthony Brathwaite, was pictured right by her bedside. Kehlani publicly thanked him for saving her life.
Despite what people say about her, "The Way" singer admitted she was not looking for attention or crying out for help by attempting suicide, but instead, thought of it as the only way to rid her life of the many things she's dealing with.

"Today I wanted to leave this earth," Kehlani wrote on Instagram, before ultimately deleting it. "Being completely selfish for once. Never thought I'd get to such a low point. But.. Don't believe the blogs you read .. No one was cheated on and I'm not a bad person... Everyone is hurt and everyone is in a place of misunderstanding.. But as of today, I had no single wish to see tomorrow.."
Cheating rumors began swirling around after PartyNextDoor posted a photo to his Instagram on Monday (March 28) of him holding Kehlani's hand in his bed. This came as a shock to many fans and media outlets, because she singer was reportedly still romantically linked to the Cleveland Cavaliers point guard. In fact, Irving posted a photo of them together on March 11 with the caption, "Good ole fashioned partners."
PartyNextDoor and Kehlani ended their relationship very publicly last year, he even recorded "Kehlani's Freestyle," explaining why he was a bad boyfriend. Months later, Kehlani was rumored to have found love again with a new man: Irving. The rumors were confirmed when she dedicated a Valentine's Day Instagram post to him and her newfound happiness.

Kehlani shed light on how she found herself back in her ex-boyfriend's arms and bed. According to her Instagram post, there was no infidelity on her part. It was a matter of staying true to herself and her feelings. Despite the backlash it has caused, Kehlani stated everyone involved is currently happy.
"And since you're begging for the truth on my love life: I am severely utterly in love with my first love," Kehlani wrote. "Went thru a bad breakup and ended up easing into a relationship with a man who was one of my bestfriend. Tho we realized we both weren't exactly at a time where we were prepared to do so. No I'm not a CHEATER, a THOT, im a BELIEVER IN FOLLOWING YOUR HEART and not LYING TO YOURSELF."
