The Deftones have nearly doubled their summer tour dates ahead of their upcoming album, Gore, out on April 8 through Warner Bros. Records. In a rare, high-powered pairing, Swedish hardcore band Refused will support the Deftones on about half of the additional dates.

Consequence of Sound reports that the additional dates span the month of August, starting on the East Coast in famous spots like New Jersey's Stone Pony Summerstage and New York's Coney Island Amphitheater. The 30-plus date trek will then wind down with four shows in the band's home state of California.

* - with Refused

The wrenching "Prayers/Triangles" is the first single from Gore, which frontman Chino Moreno calls  "more of a heady record." "If something sounded a little straight, we took a left turn and made things a little screwy," he told Rolling Stone.

As for Refused, Freedom is the sophomore release that no one saw coming. The record comes 18 years after the now-canonized The Shape of Punk to Come.
