Ne-Yo may soon receive more criticism than he has been receiving from supporters of his ex and the mother of his two children, Monyetta Shaw, who just penned her first book where she exposes some betrayals that took place while she and the singer were together.

Shaw just published her first book, Bigger Than Me, a motivational book of real life experiences that is deemed to help inspire those who are dealing with the pain of a broken-heart, as described on her official website. Although it may be designed to help others with their relationship woes, the book also acts as a vehicle to release her own pain from her past relationship with the father of her two children, Ne-yo, whose real name is Shaffer Smith.

According to the NY Post, Shaw revealed how she and the "Miss Independent" singer made an agreement to both have surgeries done to prohibit any further pregnancies. At the time, the couple was engaged and felt that their two children, Madilyn and Mason, were enough. The author recounted in her book how she requested that the doctor burn her fallopian tubes after giving birth to her son in 2011, citing that "sterilization was something Ne-Yo and I discussed thoroughly in the months leading up to the baby's delivery," as stated in excerpts from the book reported by the NY Post.

However, the mother of two explained how she was not the only one who was to undergo a sterilization procedure in their relationship. "Ne-Yo also agreed to undergo a vasectomy to show our mutual commitment to the relationship," Shaw revealed in the book. The only problem was that Shaw was the only one to follow through with the surgery as planned.

In the book, she explained how she became too busy caring for their children in Atlanta, while the singer was in a different state carrying out his career, that she never thought to follow up with him on his end of the bargain. "I trusted him so much that it never even crossed my mind that he hadn't gone through with it," she recalled.

Shaw eventually parted ways with Smith, as she revisited often during her time on the reality show Atlanta Exes, and now, in her new book, where she recalled in detail the day she got the call from Ne-Yo saying that he no longer wanted to be with her.

"In June 2013 - just two months before our August wedding - Ne-Yo called [and said] 'I don't want to be monogamous anymore'.. in other words, he wanted to break up," Shaw wrote in her book.

The break up happened and now the singer songwriter is married to Crystal Renae, a model who is also on a reality show, About The Business. The couple got married in March 2016 and just weeks later, gave birth to their son, Prince Shaffer Smith, Jr.
