The wait is over for the arrival of John Legend and Chrissy Teigen's first born. The couple welcomed a baby girl, Luna Simone, on Thursday April 14.

The announcement came three days after Teigen gave birth to she and the "Ordinary People" singer's first child together, a baby girl that they named Luna Simone Stephens as reported by The Boombox. Legend took to Twitter to announce that he and his wife welcomed 6 pound, 11 ounces, Luna to the world on Thursday April 14.

Teigen followed Legend's announcement with her own on Instagram where she expressed how overjoyed they were with her arrival, but also very tired.

"She's here," Teigen excitedly captioned on Instagram. "Luna Simone Stephens, we are so in love with you! And sleepy. Very sleepy."

The couple initially struggled to conceive as Teigen expressed on her daytime talk show, FabLife.

As US Magazine reported, the 30-year-old model opened up during the show about how she was getting tired of all of the questions surrounding she and Legend's marriage and family.

"I can't imagine being that nosy, like, 'When are the kids coming?' because who knows what somebody's going through, who knows if somebody's struggling," Teigen revealed during the FabLife episode. "I would say, honestly, [that] John and I were having trouble. We would have had kids five, six years ago if it had happened, but my gosh, it's been a process."

That process is now complete with the arrival of their daughter Luna Simone. Congratulations to the happy family!
