Photos of Selena Gomez and the Dalai Lama taken in 2014 have come back into the spotlight this week after rumors popped up claiming China was banning the pop singer from the country. Since they are not fans of the Dalai Lama, these 2-year-old photos of the two together apparently deemed concert cancellations and a ban on performing in the country a fitting punishment.

The torrid history between the Dalai Lama and China isn't exactly news, but now it looks like Chinese fans of Gomez are the ones losing out on some quality concert experiences. While we're not sure if this news is confirmed, Gomez did share a post on her Chinese social media platform, Weibo, account, to promote her Revival Tour.

This news comes from a number of sources, including The Daily Mail, which was pretty much just reporting on seeing Gomez at an airport with her rumored boyfriend, Orlando Bloom. But we can credit the claim to the "Shady Music Facts" Twitter account, which, as you know from its name, is a little shady!
