The girl group Fifth Harmony is encouraging the U.S. Olympic gymnasts with their new music video for “That’s My Girl.” This past Wednesday (Aug. 3) the bubbly pop stars shared the video via their Twitter account, featuring members of the 2016 Olympic team.
The minute long clip showcases each member of the girl group against a backdrop interspersed with shots of the Olympic team. The official Olympics account posted the video to it’s page, writing “Flipping out over this @FifthHarmony and @USAGym music video!” Both the song and music video are nothing but girl power and the video even includes the reigning gold champion Gabby Douglas, with clips of her training for Rio and past competitions.
“That’s My Girl” is taken from the girl group’s most recent album, 7/27 and this is not the first time that the Olympic gymnastics team has used it. Most recently, the song served as a backdrop for a training video of the entire team.

In other Fifth Harmony news, the group recently cancelled remaining tour dates for their album 7/27 and did not release any information as to why. Ticketmaster had initially said that Camilla Cabello, Normani Kordei, Dinah Jane, Lauren Jauregui and Ally Brooke had been scheduled for performances in Washington, California and Nevada from September 13-17.
The dates were supposed to have been their last stops in the U.S. before heading to Mexico on September 27. JoJo and Victoria Monet had been scheduled to accompany the group to each date. While poor ticket sales were not to blame, as the date in Washington was nearly sold out, Perez Hilton reported that tensions within the girl group may have been the reason.
