While performing in New York last Saturday, Drake told the crowd that he loves Rihanna. But aside from sharing his feelings with his fans, Drake also surprised them by bringing out Derrick Rose, the new point guard for the New York Knicks.

The Canadian artist held his concert last weekend at the Madison Square Garden with rapper Future. During the event, he addressed the audience members to show their support for Rihanna before expressing his love for the "Work" singer.

"If you've got love for Rihanna in New York City... cuz you know I've got love for Rihanna," he said during the concert according to Page Six.

As noted by E! Online's sources, although it has been reported numerous times that Rihanna and Drake have been dating, the two artists have avoided putting a label on their relationship. Despite this, the insiders noted that both Drake and Rihanna deeply care about one another.

But aside from telling the crowd that he loves Rihanna, Drake also had another surprise for his fans. During his set, the rapper brought out Rose, the former Chicago Bulls superstar who signed with the Knicks during the off-season's free agency period.

"I was able to make one phone call so I'm gonna stay onstage tonight, but there's one guy that you gotta thank for that," Drake said according to Chicago Tribune. "I just wanna know if New York City could just make some noise for him one time, because I feel like this is the guy that you need to thank for me standing on stage tonight."

"He goes by the name of Derrick Rose, by the way, just in case you didn't know," he added.

After the short introduction, Rose appeared in front of the crowd together with his three-year-old son P.J. Rose.
