Lil B is an icon in the world of hip-hop, so it shouldn't come as a surprise that someone like Frank Ocean would want to work with him on his next album. The pair were seen together working on music in a 2014 Instagram post and with all of the delays to Boy's Don't Cry, that has gotten lost in the shuffle. In a new interview, Lil B confirms they did work together on the project, but has no new insight as to when it might drop.

Speaking to Dazed, he discuses what it was like to work with Ocean and sings praises for the Channel Orange singer.

"Frank Ocean was amazing. He called me to come out and do some stuff for his album, Boys Don't Cry, that's coming out," says Lil B. "Frank is amazing. He's a beautiful man with a beautiful voice. He's a very strong man, a very strong person. Anything that I can do to help him, I will."

Asked if he knows when the album will drop, Lil B is coy in his response, even hinting that he isn't even sure if his collaboration will ever see the light of day.

"If Frank releases," says the rapper about Boys Don't Cry. "Let's see what Frank releases. Frank has the material."

This is not the only high-profile collaboration Lil B has notched in the past few years. He has worked with the like of Vince Staples, A$AP Rocky and Gucci Mane. He did an entire mixtape with Chance The Rapper and is gearing up to go on a short tour with Clams Casino this fall.
