Last Monday, Aug. 29, the electronic music world was buffeted by the news that one of their own, Samisoni Koroitamudu, better known as his stage name, Big Makk, was killed in a car accident. He was going to release a new LP titled The Makk Tape today and his management is going ahead with the 8-track project's release posthumously.

The LP moves between various different genres that Makk liked to work with like hip-hop, trap, moombahton and various mixing and mashing that he would do with those sounds. He samples T.I.'s classic track "Top Back" on the third track "Top Beat."

The 25-year-old was loved and well respected by his peers and seemingly on his way to a successful career in dance music. He was a part of the Mad Decent family and signed to Main Course. He had just made a track with one of his idols Bassnectar

"Today was the day Sam (aka BIG MAKK) was going to release this LP titled 'THE MAKK TAPE,'" Koroitamudu's management states in the Soundcloud post. "For those that didn't know Sam, he had 3 loves in his life; His Family/Friends, His Music, & His Shoes (mainly Vans). We also know there is nothing more he would have wanted than for everyone to listen and share this music as was planned. We miss you Sam and we couldn't think of a better way to honor your beautiful soul than to have your music live on forever."

The LP can be streamed for free on Spotify or Soundcloud. However if you are feeling generous and want to own the project, it can be bought on iTunes. All proceeds will go to Big Makk's family.
