Prince’s family is gearing up to hold a tribute concert to the singer next month in his hometown of Minneapolis. Christina Aguilera and Stevie Wonder are amongst the artists who will pay homage onstage to the “Purple Rain” singer during the show.

The all-star tribute show will take place at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul mid-next month (Oct. 13). Tickets are slated to be up for sale at 10 A.M. this upcoming Monday (Sept. 19) on Ticketmaster.

Dr.Funkenberry reported details of the official press release, which touts the event as an “all-star line up of icons and friends.” Artists who are scheduled to perform at the event include Wonder, Aguilera, Chaka Khan, John Mayer, Tori Kelly, Anita Baker, Doug E. Fresh, Luke James, Bilal, Morris Day & The Time, Judith Hill, Liv Warfield and Mint Condition. The New Power Generation is also slated to perform, as well as members of 3RDEYEGIRL.

Prince passed away this past April and the tribute concert may serve as an inspiration to fans mourning his passing. This is not the first event that has been held in his honor. Members of his band The Revolution performed a total of three tribute shows a few weeks ago at First Avenue in Minneapolis.

According to Consequence of Sound, the majority of the Purple Rain album was based in his hometown. In addition to the tribute concert, fans will also be able to stop by for a tour of his residence at Paisley Park, which will be offering tours to the public early next month (Oct. 6).
