If on the first day of Christmas you receive a partridge in a pear tree can you imagine what kind of body bumping, Jeep riding, backyard partying - body callin' gifts you would get from R. Kelly, on the first night of Christmas? In only a few short months fans will find out with the release of his new holiday album, 12 Nights Of Christmas.

Leave it to The R to have R&B fans excited, mystified and eager to start their Christmas list all because of one photo teased on Instagram account with a four-word caption - "Christmas album coming soon."

Singersroom gave more details about the album than the Instagram post did. According to the music site, Kellz plans to release the album in a few short weeks, on Oct. 21.

Kelly also shared the same photo on Twitter before adding another photo on Instagram further promoting the Christmas album.

In this photo the "Step In The Name Of Love" singer can be seen standing on a front stoop wearing a red "Christmasy" sweater, surrounded by the illusion of snowflakes.

The caption delved further into the concept of the album by offering a little more holiday cheer.

"The world could use some cheer #12NightsOfChristmas #NewTracks#2016," he captioned.

Kelly has proven himself to be creative mind when developing an album. His writing, producing and singing an entire 20 chapter film series, with "Trapped In The Closet," has deemed him a musical genius to many.

The R is a man of many concepts when it comes to his albums, like this one's 12 nights of Christmas theme.

Those concepts usually reach a certain level of success for the Chicago native, that he never anticipated.

Kelly's 1993 debut album 12 Play was an album that he took a chance with, not really knowing whether it would work or not.

"I didn't really know if the album would be as successful as it has been, but I hoped that it would," Kelly explained during his 1994 Billboard interview. "I was really taking a chance with the concept of this album."

He could be doing the exact same thing with 12 Nights of Christmas – taking a chance.

Though he didn’t reveal on social media whether he has actually started the project or not- if he hasn’t, the question then becomes will he be able to fully devote full time and attention to new tracks, for a new album while on The Buffet Tour?

Currently in its last leg, Kelly has been busy traveling from state to state, night after night; to complete the remaining dates.

The R. Kelly website announced the tour back in March, with it beginning in April and soon wrapping in Washington D.C. mid November.

Nonetheless, a Christmas album completed and released from Kelly by Oct. 21 would be great for R&B music lovers so, we're rooting for you Kellz.
