Fresh off of his first weekend performance at Desert Trip in California alongside The Who and others, Roger Waters has announced new 40-date North American Us + Them Tour for 2017.

The tour gets its name from Dark Side of the Moon song "Us and Them."

On the tour, Waters will perform almost 75 percent old stuff and then 25 percent new material, presumably from his still untitled album.

"We are going to take a new show on the road, the content is very secret. It'll be a mixture of stuff from my long career, stuff from my years with Pink Floyd, some new things," said Waters in a statement. "Probably 75% of it will be old material and 25% will be new, but it will be all connected by a general theme. It will be a cool show, I promise you. It'll be spectacular like all my shows have been."

The run of shows comes four years after Waters' record setting The Wall Tour in 2012.

The tour will kick off on May 26 on Kansas City at the Sprint Center. Over the next six months he will play arenas all over North America in cities such as Houston, Miami, San Jose, Detroit, Brooklyn, Chicago and Toronto. The tour will end on Oct. 28 in Vancouver.

Tickets go on sale Friday, Oct. 21.
