Saturday Night Live's Vanessa Bayer has a side job hosting her own web series Sound Advice, where she portrays Janessa Slater, a terrible "media coach who's helped hundreds of bands" boost their careers to the next level... sort of. On the newest episode, the actress welcomes in Days Are Gone creators HAIM.

Keeping with the role of giving some horribly sound advice, Bayer questions the band about their name, Etse Haim's "bass face" and why exactly the last member ditched their interview.

"So there's three of you in the band. Where is Danielle today?" In hearing the third sister was missing out on the interview due to an illness, Bayer offered up some air quotes, which only seemed to irk the remaining members. "No, she's just, like, regular sick. Not with the bunny ears. I think you just like doing that."

The interview went on to discuss the Hebrew origin of the name "Haim," which Bayer guessed meant "she who parts hair in the middle." For the record, it actually means life.

Bayer then gave some alternatives to Etse's beloved facial expressions during the group's shows, which fans have come to call "bass face." We can't say for sure but we don't think the bassist is biting at any of the suggestions. What do you think?

This isn't the first time Bayer has welcomed in A-list musicians on Sound Advice. She's previously given some words of wisdom for the likes of Drake, Fun., TV on the Radio and various bands at Governors Ball –– including Interpol.
