Broadway will be getting spiced up this winter, as entertainer and former Spice Girl Mel B joins the cast of Chicago on Broadway. The performer is now taking on the role of Roxie Hart through Feb. 19, 2017.

Though best known for her work with the Spice Girls as "Scary Spice," Mel B (short for Melanie Brown) first made her Broadway debut back in 2004, when she joined the cast of Rent in the role of Mimi. The pop star-turned actor, TV host, author and entrepreneur currently serves as a judge on America's Got Talent. Outside of the U.S., Mel B also serves as the host of Lip Sync Battle UK and as a guest judge on the Australian edition of The X Factor.

Featuring a score by Broadway legends John Kander and Fred Ebb, Chicago tells the tale of merry murderesses amidst the razzle-dazzle opulence of 1920's Chicago and their quest for showbiz fame. The current revival, which opened in November 1996 with Ann Reinking and Bebe Neuwirth, earned six Tony Awards in 1997 and has gone on to become the longest-running Broadway revival and second longest running Broadway show of all time. Mel B now joins the hit revival in its record-breaking 20th year.

For those who "wannabe" in the audience for the Spice Girl's Broadway bow, more information about the show can be found at chicagothemusical.com. Chicago tickets can be purchased through Telecharge, where prices start at just $49.50.
