The Grinch who stole a Texan family's Christmas decorations and immediately paid the consequences.

Ken Lamkin from San Antonio woke up on Christmas Eve to discover, not gifts under his Christmas tree, but his fog machine and other holiday decorations missing. When he checked the security footage, he found that an unidentified man stole his belongings.

To avenge the loss of his inflatable reindeer and to dress up his lawn in time for the holidays, Lamkin printed out screenshots of the Grinch who stole his Christmas decorations from his security footage. His front yard is now lined with blown-up photos of the alleged thief.

Texan Grinch

"He was so slow and methodical, that's what reminded us of the story of the Grinch," the Texan told reporters. "We wanted to keep it in the spirit of things so we made it like a Christmas decoration."

He also has the security footage of the theft in a loop and in tune to "The Grinch."

Lamkin still hopes that, like the story by Dr. Seuss, his own Grinch will have a change of heart and bring back the stolen decorations.

"Just like in the story, The Grinch, if his heart could grow 10 sizes, maybe he would not just bring our stuff back, maybe he'd bring everybody's stuff back," the man stated.

According to the police, the thief stole around $400-worth of Christmas decorations. Elsewhere, another Texan lost her holiday lights to a thief.

Victoria Martin, a woman from Gainesville, lost her starry lights projectors on Saturday, Dec. 23. The decoration cost around $150.

However, while Lamkin took the experience lightly, Martin said she will refrain from decorating her home next year in fear that a similar theft will happen.

The thieves for both cases are yet to be arrested.

Grinch In LA

Another thief, this time in Los Angeles, is spreading fear and unrest this holiday season. The Los Angeles Police Department is on a hunt for a man caught breaking into homes in Studio City. The man caught by security cameras was wearing a Santa hat and scarf, but this is not Mr. Claus who brings gifts to good kids.

According to the authorities, the thief would knock on doors or ring the doorbell. If no one answers, the suspect breaks into the house. Once inside, he will take cash, pieces of jewelry, and firearms.

A getaway car, a dark sedan, is on standby outside.
