Oprah Winfrey and Reese Witherspoon, the stars of A Wrinkle in Time, are on the cover of Vanity Fair and they look immaculate.

Except for one thing. The magazine's special Hollywood issue also features 12 "extraordinary stars" like Jessica Chastain, Nicole Kidman, Harrison Ford, Tom Hanks, Robert de Niro, and Wonder Woman Gal Gadot. However, everyone's attention is on Witherspoon who seems to have grown a third leg.

Count The Limbs

"im tryna figure out how many legs reese witherspoon's got in here," said one Twitter user, "it's been bothering me for the last five minutes."

The actress' mysterious third leg became a mystery that Twitter has been trying to solve since the cover was released on Thursday, Jan. 25. One user suggested that it might not be a photoshop error.

However, Witherspoon is not the only actress who suddenly grew an extra limb during the cover shoot. Fans also noticed that, in one of the photos featured inside the magazine, Winfrey has an extra hand.

Vanity Fair honored Winfrey who has appeared in a total of 15 movies throughout her career. Her next movie is A Wrinkle in Time, the fantasy movie from Disney directed by Ava DuVernay.

Meanwhile, Witherspoon, who starred in 39 movies including A Wrinkle in Time, is also on HBO's hit drama series Big Little Lies with Nicole Kidman. A Season 2 of the series has already been announced with Meryl Streep joining the already star-studded cast.

"Well...I guess everybody knows now...I have 3 legs," Witherspoon responded on Twitter. "I hope you can still accept me for who I am."

Winfrey, in turn, joked that she accept her costar's surprising deformity... as long as the 41-year-old accept her's.

"I accept your 3d leg," tweeted the Golden Globes' Cecil B. DeMille awardee. "As I know you accept my 3d hand."

Vanity Fair also explained the blunder, saying that the third leg in question was not a photoshop fail but a simple trick of the eye.

As for Winfrey's third hand, well, that explains why the 63-year-old can do absolutely anything.
